Conditions
of access:
The holdings are open for consultation to the general public. The
only restrictions are related to risk of damage or deterioration
in the case of certain materials. In this case, the Archives staff
provide the best alternative to avoid direct consultation or, in
certain cases, they reserve the right of access to original material.
The description instruments (files, inventories, catalogues and
lists) are also available for consultation, although in no event
will a copy be given. Special circumstances may warrant a photocopy
being made of a given part.
Reprography
conditions:
In no case will a copy be given of documents deposited in other
archives of which we have a copy or a photographic image.
Materials over fifty years old in our Archives, whether our property
or on loan, will be consider antiques:
Copies of plans
and photocopies of written documents of less than 50 years may be
made, as long as they are not subject to any other restrictions
(thesis copyright, originals of a book awaiting publication, etc.)
and provided their state of conservation does not make it inadvisable.
Current fees will be applied.
In no case
may image documents and those over 50 years old be photocopied,
and a photographic copy or microfiche reproduction-consultation
will be provided according to the regulations of the image document
section.
Temporary
loan for conferences, exhibitions and publications:
None of
the documents kept at the History Archives-Documentation Centre
are available for loan. Materials may only be removed from the Archives
for purposes of publication, exhibition and conference. All loans
will be subject to the corresponding agreement.
