| Plan for an area of Aix-en-Provence that consisted of sewing together the different urban fabrics of the city that had previously been interrupted by a great empty space of 20 hectares at its centre. MBM's work on this project consisted mainly of the scheme for the urban development of the whole sector, the urban design of all the public spaces (streets, squares, etc.), and the design of some housing and office buildings in the 230,000 m ² available for construction for private use. MBM also took over the supervision of all the housing projects carried out by other architects and the coordination of all engineering work, such as covering over the railway lines and infrastructures. |
