The main aim of this project is to turn a great empty 50-hectare space with no landscape identity into a unit that can be seen as an urban continuity or, at least, a suburban agglomerate related to the itineraries and meanings of nearby neighbourhoods. The project is based on a low-density multifunctional programme, not normally the most suitable for creating an identity and a consistent urban image. The preliminary decision is therefore very important. The project has to seek to give this landscape a clear definition that includes the various constructions, enabling them to form a significant identity. To this end, it establishes a form and itineraries that are more significant for a new community.
