Even though the profession is not regulated in Sweden, and theoretically anybody can practice as an architect since the title is not protected, the consumers are very aware of informing themselves of the quality of the architects. Being a SAR member is a guarantee for a client, since the membership requires strong education.

Foreign architects can work independently in Sweden. It is recommendable to have a Swedish partner that may know better the local regulations and other conditions.
