ARCHITECT'S COMPETENCES
Description Design of buildings (except special engineering constructions, bridges and power stations), feasibility studies, drafing of technical documentation related to the designs, control of construction costs, supervision and co-ordination of the construction. Urban planning and development, design of urban infrastructure, regional and national planning, landscape design, and co-ordination and supervision of realisation of these projects. Design of interiors, furnishings, fittings and objects, appraisal services, consulting and technical expertise.
 
MECHANISM CHECKING LICENSE TO PRACTISE
Description Architects must seal the project with the license number, and submit the copy of the license along with the project.
 
ARCHITECT'S LIABILITY
Description Legally unlimited for authorised architects. Financially limited if the architect is acting as an employee.

In the event that foreign architects are not authorised to work independently, what is the stipulated formula of collaboration with national architects? In a joint venture with a Slovak architect, the liability will lay on the latter.
