SUOMEN ARKKITEHTILIITTO / FINLANDS ARKITEKTFÖRBUND (Association of Finnish Architects) The primary aim of all SAFA activities is to provide prepequisities for architects to work for the collective goal: quality built environment. This is achieved among other things by influencing legislation, defining the scope of work for architectural design, and monitoring the architectural fees. SAFA supervises professional standards and ethics among its members, thus promoting high environmental goals. The members receive support in professional matters concerning contracts, employment and education. The Association also offers its members opportunities for sharing interests and recreational pursuits with colleagues. The Association works as a reliable partner for public and private bodies in organising both open and invited architectural competitions. SAFA publishes the Finnish Architectural Review, "Arkkitehti",since 1903. In addition, the Association publishes the member bulletin "Arkkitehtiuutiset", as well as some other publications connected with seminars and excursions.
ARKKITEHTITOIMISTOJEN LIITTO (Association of Finnish Architects' Offices) Development and marketing of architectural offices, and protection of their interests. Promoting of high quality of architectural operations, monitoring tendering procedures, training, copyright, ethical guidelines and contracts.
